HOW TO GET HERE
Plane: you can land in Cagliari airport and from there take a shuttle or a private taxi or rent a car and go to Portoscuso, where every hour there’s a ferry for Carloforte (30 minutes).
Shuttle to the island: The easyest and fastest way to get to Carloforte from Cagliari airport is to take the shullte service of Di.Be. TAXI (timetables and contacts) company. They have several busses giung from the airport to the ferry departure every day, for 15 euros per person, and thay also give a private taxy service for 70 euros.
Ship: you can take a ship for Porto Torres, Alghero, Olbia, Golfo Aranci or Cagliari from many ports in northern ITaly or southern France and Spain. From the main island you’ll have to drive to Portoscuso where every hour there’s a ferry for Carloforte (30 minutes).
Ferry from Portovesme/Calasetta to Carloforte:
In any way you’ll get to Portoscuso (faster to reach, no ferries after 22.20h) or Calasetta (ferries 24h), you’ll have to take a ferry to get on San Pietro’s island. The only company providing the service is Delcomar, and at the folloqing links you can find timetables from Calasetta and Portovesme
